Why The Silverback?
Mountain Gorillas (Silverback) are as shy as they are strong, but once threatened they will become very aggressive and fight to the death. They beat their chests and grunts with angry roars as a War Cry of what is about to happen to their advisary!
Let it be known that group leaders will charge at the threat!
Mothers will fight to the very end to protect their young!
They live in groups of up to thirty strong, they are led by a single alpha male know as the Silverback.
The Males are called Silverbacks because of the silver stripe on their backs when they mature and earn the right to lead the group. The oldest males are at least 12 years old and lead other younger troops of males. The silver stripe is symbolic of strength, leadership, experience, and resounding courage to the death all for the well being of the family group!
In addition to providing security and protection to the group, they schedule feeding trips resting times and travel.
The Silverback is highly intelligent and use a variety ways to communicate!
No one knows how strong the Silverback can be it is only known by the Silverback himself they are focused species who is always training and always ready to protect his family at all costs!
